Delving into slabbed Merc Dimes

Starting off slowly, but significantly. Got a pretty decent deal on this one:

That's a real beauty, I went the other way and bought 1200 Mercury Dimes at auction late last summer. I believe 5 of the 1200 are worth grading. I might wait for the next run up in bullion, sell 1000 and upgrade. Great photo.

wow I am jealous

but like a lot of mercs it has weak strike spots, like on the motto obverse-- "trust"

the fasces looks nice and crisp though! I make the back for better than the front.
